NPFL: Kalu Nweke backs Enugu Rangers to silence Sporting Lagos in Awka

Enugu Rangers’ striker, Kalu Nweke will be making a return to action after a lengthy spell on the sidelines and he’s set to make it a triumphant return for the Flying Antelopes when they host Sporting Lagos on Sunday.
The Awka City Stadium will host the Nigeria Premier Football League showdown between two teams who have a contrasting attributes. While Rangers are one of the teams with the most goals scored so far, the Noisy Lagosians have leaked few.
Nweke had scored Rangers’ first goal of the current campaign has been out for five weeks and has since return to full fitness.
With his return , The former Kwara United forward expressed delight to be back and is targeting a victory against Sporting, something that has been hard to come by for Rangers recently.
“I feel good and excited to be back in the team after over one month out due to injury. My expectation in the encounter against Sporting Lagos is to pick the maximum points at stake to put us back on winning ways,” Nweke told Rangers’ media.
“I am motivated by the caliber of players in the team and hope to be at my very best to defend the badge of Rangers. The three points are what matters now and the quality sessions we have gone through after our last match will put us on track for the needed result.
“I have no fear that come tomorrow at the Awka City Stadium, we are going to win.”
Fidelis Ilechukwu will be spoil for options with the return of Nweke and other top players in the team including Austin Opara, Austin Onyeamachi, Ifeanyi Ogba and Philip see the third most potent attacking team, Rangers, seek to break through the fourth meanest defense line, Sporting Lagos.
A win will see the Flying Antelopes leapfrog their visitors who are ahead of Rangers by just a point.
