AFCON 2023: Coach Cande fancies Guinea-Bissau chances against Nigeria

Coach of Guinea-Bissau, Baciro Cande has expressed optimism of his team recording a convincing result when they take on Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations, AFCON tournament starting on Saturday in Ivory Coast.
The Djurtus are in the same group with the Super Eagles along with host, Ivory Coast and Equatorial Guinea.
Coach Cande will be leading his boys out for the opening match against Ivory Coast on Saturday.
Haven arrived Abidjan earlier on Sunday and commenced training ahead of the duel with the Elephants, Cande said the Jose Peseiro boys and other teams in the group are top sides but refused to rule out his team of any positivity.
“We want to advance past the first round at last. Although our group has formidable opponents in the form of Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, and Côte d’Ivoire, anything is possible in football”, he said.
The encounter between Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau will be decided on Monday 22nd of January.
