Paris 2024: Desire Ellis plots strategies ahead of potential clash with Nigeria

Head Coach of Bayana Bayana of South Africa, Desire Ellis is envisaging a showdown clash with Nigeria’s Super Falcons for the final qualifying round to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Ellis’ side will be taking on Tanzania on Tuesday in the second leg of the third with less worries after claiming 3-0 victory in the first leg.
The reigning African champions will be meeting Nigeria who eliminated Cameroon 1-0 on aggregate for a place in the tournament proper later in the year.
Ellis, however warned her players against complacency in anticipation for the big clash.
“We have to finish the job back home. We don’t want to become complacent,” Ellis told CAFonline.
“The next goal in the match could change things and we have to score the next goal and once that is over you know then we’ll worry on who we’ll have to face, be it Nigeria be it Cameroon.
“We still have a job to do. We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves, we want to make sure that we finish the job.”
