Olorunleke Ojo pens heartfelt farewell to Enyimba fans

By Monsurah Olatunji

Enyimba FC goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke has expressed gratitude for their support throughout his stay at the club.

The 28-year-old shot-stopper, who has been an integral part of the People’s Elephant for the past three years, played his final game for the former Nigerian champions in a 2-0 victory against Plateau United on Sunday.

He helped the People’s Elephant secure the crucial three points that guaranteed them a return to the continent via the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC).

“I’m grateful for the love they showed me throughout my stay in Enyimba,” an emotional Olorunleke told the media.

“Enyimba made me and they made me who I am today. I will forever be grateful to them and the good people of Aba and Abia State in general.”

The club paid tribute to their departing captain, calling him “an absolute professional” and thanking him for his service.
