Rwanda’s head coach, Thorsten Spittler, has announced a provisional 36-man squad for the country’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Libya and Nigeria.

Spittler’s selection is heavily composed of players from the Rwandan Premier League, with the notable inclusion of experienced defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe from the Cypriot side AEL Limassol, who is the squad’s standout player.

The coach will narrow down the squad to a final roster before the qualifiers commence.

The Amavubi will face Libya at the Tripoli Stadium on Wednesday, September 4, before hosting Nigeria’s Super Eagles at the Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday, September 10.
