CAF CC: Enyimba FC jets out to Maputo for Black Bull clash

After their rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) game against Sunshine, which ended 0-0, Enyimba FC jetted out to Maputo, Mozambique, for the encounter with the Black Bulls.

The third group game of the CAF Confederation Cup between the two-time African champions and the Mozambican side will see the third and fourth-placed teams in Group D face off.

The clash is scheduled for Estadio da Matola, Maputo, on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

The People’s Elephant recovered from 2-0 down to settle for a 2-2 draw with Zamalek the last time out in Uyo.

They had suffered a 2-0 loss to Al Masry in their group opener.

Enyimba and Black Bulls Maputo are with a point each in Group D.

Egyptian side, Al Masry as Zamalek top the table with four points each.

The top two teams at the end of six group games will make it to the quarter-final.

Last two seasons, Rivers United reached the quarter-final of the competition to help Nigeria maintain their four continental slots.
