Former Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has expressed strong confidence in Samuel Chukwueze’s potential to thrive under AC Milan’s current manager, Paulo Fonseca.
Chukwueze joined Milan last summer from Villarreal but struggled to make a significant impact under then-coach Stefano Pioli.
However, the Nigerian winger has enjoyed more playing time under Fonseca this season, prompting optimism about his future at the club.
Peseiro, who worked closely with Chukwueze during his time with the Super Eagles, believes the 24-year-old has immense potential to grow under Fonseca’s guidance.
“They have two excellent players. I trained one (Chukwueze) in the Nigerian national team, and the other (Rafael Leao) I would have loved to have at Sporting,” Peseiro said in an interview with Sportitalia.
“They are extraordinary players, with great quality and potential to grow even further. And I believe that Paulo Fonseca will help them become even better.”
With Fonseca at the helm, Peseiro is optimistic that Chukwueze will continue to develop and achieve greater success at AC Milan.
