NPFL: Heartland aims for maximum points against Katsina United

By Wale Mustapha

Heartland FC is set to take on Katsina United in a crucial Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 23 clash, with the Naze Millionaires confident of extending their unbeaten run.

The Owerri-based side will visit the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Friday, aiming to secure all three points in their bid for a strong finish to the season.

Under the guidance of coach Emmanuel Amuneke, Heartland remains undefeated in their last four NPFL outings, building momentum as they approach the match.

The club has made it clear they are determined to maintain their impressive form, with their official social media statement stating: “A trip to Katsina is in the offing, and the plan is to cage the Chanji Boys at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Friday.

“Let’s go for it because we are the Naze Millionaires!”

In last season’s corresponding fixture, both teams shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Katsina United took the lead through Nafiu Ibrahim, but Heartland’s Naldo Barnabas leveled the score to ensure a point for the visitors.

As Heartland looks to build on their recent positive performances, the team is focused on securing a victory to continue their climb up the league standings.
