Rumour Mills: Enugu Rangers set to lose Kazeem Ogunleye to foreign club

By Wale Mustapha

Enugu Rangers are set to lose their key midfielder, Kazeem Ogunleye, who is on the brink of securing a lucrative move to a foreign club, potentially leaving the reigning Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions without one of their star players for the remainder of the season.

The 18-year-old, who has become an integral part of Rangers’ squad, reportedly left the country to finalize his move to an undisclosed European club.

Ogunleye played a crucial role in the Flying Antelopes’ title win last season, and this season has made 15 league appearances, contributing one goal and three assists.

Ogunleye began his professional career with Nigeria National League (NNL) side Ijebu United and has previously earned a call-up to the Super Eagles B team.

His departure will be a significant blow to Rangers as they look to defend their NPFL crown.
