NPFL: Rivers United Rightfully Defeated Remo Stars — Finidi

Rivers United’s technical adviser, Finidi George, expressed that his team rightfully earned their victory against Remo Stars.
The Port Harcourt-based club secured a 1-0 win over the league leaders at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday.
Bolaji Sholumade netted the decisive goal just seven minutes before the final whistle.
This victory allowed the former champions to reduce Remo Stars’ lead to five points.
“It was a challenging match given the quality of the opposition, Remo Stars,” Finidi remarked in a post-match interview.
“They approached the game differently, and although we missed two opportunities in the first half, I believe we merited the win overall.
“We truly deserved to walk away with all three points.”
