Wilfred Ndidi bags assist as Leicester City beat Ipswich Town

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, showcased his exceptional skills by providing an assist during Leicester City’s 2-0 victory over Ipswich in the Premier League match on Sunday.

This marked his 28th appearance for the team, during which he has contributed five assists this season.

Ndidi was substituted in the 88th minute for Skipp following a commendable performance.

Notably, Jamie Vardy scored his milestone goal 28 minutes into his 500th match for the club, capitalizing on James Justin’s impressive run, much to the joy of the King Power Stadium crowd.

Ipswich sought to equalize, with George Hirst forcing a crucial save from Jakub Stolarczyk shortly after the hour mark.

However, Kasey McAteer secured the victory in the 69th minute, netting his first Premier League goal by skillfully placing his shot into the bottom corner, just moments after striking the post.

The win won’t have much impact on the English Premier League (EPL) table especially for the Foxes.

Ndidi and his team has already ben confirmed for relegation. There is one match remaining for every teams to conclude their 2024/25 EPL campaigns.
