By Dayo Awoniyi

Eight-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International FC, have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of promising forward Stephen Jesam Emmanuel from Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Doma United.

The move is part of the Enugu-based club’s preparations for the upcoming 2025/2026 NPFL campaign, as they look to reclaim their status among Nigeria’s elite football clubs and mount a serious title challenge.

The signing was formalized at the club’s corporate office in GRA, Enugu, where the 5-foot-8.5-inch striker expressed enthusiasm about the new chapter in his career.

“I’m really glad to have been able to convince the club’s selectors of what I can do on the pitch,” Jesam said.

“It is the dream of every footballer to play for a big club like Rangers with such a rich history. I will do everything I can to help the team achieve its goals.”

Jesam previously featured for City FC and Sporting Supreme FC before joining Doma United, where his performances caught the attention of Rangers’ scouting team.

He will be officially unveiled to the media alongside other new signings at a presentation event scheduled in the coming days.

Rangers International are aiming for a strong season, with club officials hopeful that the new additions will provide the depth and quality required to compete for silverware across all fronts.
