By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Galatasaray Women have announced that Nigerian international Oluwatosin Demehin has signed a contract extension with the club, following an impressive debut season in Istanbul.

The 22-year-old centre-back joined the Turkish giants last season and quickly became a key figure in defense, making 26 appearances across league and European competitions and scoring once.

Her commanding performances at the back established her as one of the team’s most reliable players.

Demehin also enjoyed success on the international stage this summer, helping the Super Falcons lift the Africa Cup of Nations title.

Her resilience and leadership with Nigeria further underlined her growing reputation as one of Africa’s standout defenders.

Galatasaray’s decision to secure Demehin’s future highlights the club’s faith in her talent and ambition to remain competitive at the top level in Turkey and Europe.

With the confidence of her debut season and the momentum of international glory, Demehin is expected to play an even bigger role in Galatasaray’s campaign this year, anchoring the defense while inspiring young footballers across Turkey and beyond.
