Joy Omewa strikes again as Fortuna Hjørring see off Odense

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigerian forward Joy Omewa maintained her red-hot scoring streak, finding the net once more in Fortuna Hjørring’s 2-0 victory over Odense in the Danish Women’s League.

The 22-year-old sealed the decisive strike of the encounter, stretching her tally to five league goals this season and extending her remarkable scoring run to four consecutive matches.

Omewa’s clinical form has made her one of the most feared attackers in Denmark, with nine goals in 11 appearances across all competitions.

That tally includes five in the league and four in the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification campaign, underlining her importance to Fortuna’s domestic and continental ambitions.

Her consistency in front of goal continues to fuel Fortuna Hjørring’s charge for silverware both at home and in Europe.
