Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team recorded a 2–1 victory over FC Robo Queens in a friendly encounter as part of their ongoing preparations.
Shakirat Moshood opened the scoring for the Falconets in the 20th minute, giving the national side an early advantage. The contest remained closely fought, with both teams creating chances as the game progressed.
FC Robo Queens drew level late in the match when Kemi Adegbuyi converted a penalty in the 85th minute, raising hopes of a comeback for the Lagos-based club.
However, the Falconets had the final say, as Janet Akekeromowei struck in the 88th minute to restore Nigeria’s lead and seal the win.
The friendly provided valuable match practice for the Nigeria U-20 side, while FC Robo Queens also gained important competitive exposure ahead of their domestic commitments.
