El-Kanemi, Kwara United Secure Crucial NPFL Victories

El-Kanemi Warriors F.C. defeated Abia Warriors F.C. 2–0 in their Matchday 28 encounter of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in Maiduguri on Saturday.

Daddy Abdulrahman handed the hosts the lead from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute, calmly converting to put El-Kanemi ahead. Bashir Musa sealed the victory four minutes from time, finishing off a well-worked move to secure maximum points.

The result lifted Kabiru Dogo’s side to ninth position on the table with 38 points from 26 matches, strengthening their push for a top-half finish.

Elsewhere, Kwara United F.C. boosted their survival hopes with a hard-earned 1–0 victory over Wikki Tourists F.C..

Akeem Akanni netted the decisive goal in the 15th minute, ensuring Kwara United claimed all three points at home.

The win moves Kwara United up to 15th position on the league table as they continue their battle to steer clear of the relegation zone.
