Victor Osimhen Returns to Galatasaray Training After Hand Surgery Layoff

Victor Osimhen has taken a significant step toward full recovery after returning to training with Galatasaray following more than three weeks on the sidelines due to hand surgery.

The 27-year-old striker sustained the injury during a UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool FC, forcing him to undergo immediate surgical treatment and miss several key fixtures for the Turkish side.

After a successful procedure, Osimhen embarked on a structured rehabilitation programme under the close supervision of Galatasaray’s medical team. His recovery has progressed steadily, allowing him to rejoin teammates in training.

During the latest session, the Nigerian international participated in light drills, with his hand still heavily strapped for protection. The coaching and medical staff are taking a cautious approach, ensuring he regains full fitness and sharpness before returning to competitive action.

Osimhen’s absence was keenly felt, as Galatasaray struggled at times without his pace, movement, and goal-scoring threat in the final third. His return to training, however, provides a timely boost as the club enters a decisive phase of the season.

While no exact date has been set for his comeback, both Galatasaray and the Nigeria national team will be encouraged by his progress, with hopes high that he will return stronger in the coming weeks.
