Serie A: Victor Osimhen hits brace in Napoli’s drubbing of Juventus

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen produced a man of the match performance on Friday night to boost Napoli’s chances of winning the scudetto this season following their 5-1 bashing of Juventus.

The Super Eagles’ striker scored two goals – one in each half- in what looked like a one sided affairs at the Diego Maradona Stadium in Naples.

The encounter that saw Napoli backed by a vociferous home crowd, the leaders have other goals came from another in form player for Napoli, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Amir Rrahmani and Eljif Elmas.

World Cup winner, Angel Di María’s clinically finish would later turned consolation for Juventus who had their impressive league run snapped by Napoli who used the victory recorded their 10 consecutive home win.

Its becoming more clearer for the Gli Azzurri who  continued their hunt for a first Scudetto since 1990 as they now lead the log with 10 massive points.

As an added bonus, Napoli’s glut of goals made this only the second clash in this fixture’s 94-year history to see them put five past the Old Lady.

For Osimhen, the former Lille striker is leading the race to win the top scorer of the league as, just like Napoli, sits top of the chart with 12 goals and three assists.
