Gift Monday nominated for NWSL Player of the Week

Nigeria forward Gift Monday has been shortlisted for the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Player of the Week award following her stunning performance for Washington Spirit on Sunday.
The Super Falcons striker fired a first-half hat-trick in her side’s emphatic 4-0 win over Houston Dash, etching her name into league history as the fastest player to score a treble in the NWSL.
Her goals also marked another milestone, as she became the first player to net a hat-trick at Audi Field, helping Washington Spirit secure their place in the postseason playoffs.
Gift Monday will contest the weekly honor alongside Mia Justus (Utah Royals), Bia Zaneratto (Kansas City Current), and Rose Lavelle (Gotham FC).
The winner will be decided by fan and media votes.
