‘He has potentials to succeed in England’ – Jonathan Akpoborie backs Paul Onuachu

Former Nigeria international Jonathan Akpoborie believes Southampton new signing, Paul Onuachu will deliver and wowed the Premier League with his lethal form in front of goal.
Onuachu linked up with the Saints from Belgian Pro League outfit, KRC Genk on deadline day, ending the Nigerian international’s four-year association with Genk following his arrival from Danish club, FC Midtylland.
The 28-year-old made his debut in the 3-0 defeat at Brentford at the weekend after comimg on as a second half substitute and the former Wolfsburg star, who spent the majority of his playing career in Germany has backed Onuachu to grab the headlines in the English Premier League with his goalscoring prowess.
“Playing in the Premier League is the dream of every player and I am delighted that Paul Onuachu has made the decision of playing in England,” Akpoborie told media.
“He has the potentials to succeed in England going by his height, physical strength and goal sense. He will bring a lot of benefit for Southampton and will definitely help them remain in the Premier League.
“His goal scoring exploits in Belgium is never a fluke because he has been consistent and will definitely replicate it in England.”
Nathan Jones’ side will host Wolverhampton Wanders in their next league game on Saturday.
