Governor Ademola Adeleke promises to cheer Osun Babes against Rivers Angels

Executive Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has promised to attend Osun Babes’ Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership encounter with Rivers Angels on Wednesday in Osogbo.

At the visit of Osun Babes FC and Osun United to his office at the Osun State Government House, the Governor, who approved refurbished buses to the teams also reiterated his desire to take Osun Sports to greater heights.

“When the Secretary to the State Government came to me that your buses are not in good condition, I felt bad and I had to approve the total repair of the two buses,” Governor Adeleke was quoted by Newsboomng.com.

“Let me categorically say it here that this our administration will make you people happy because when you people are happy, you will give your best to make the state proud.

“If you need more players to fortify your teams, Osun Babes and Osun United, we would sign more players for you.

“Tomorrow (Wednesday), to encourage you, Osun Babes FC, we would all be at the Osogbo Township Stadium to support and cheer you to victory.”

The Omoluabi Babes need a win on Wednesday to brighten its resolve to beat the drop as the Osogbo-based side sits at the foot of Group A with six points from eight games, two behind Royal Queens and Heartland Queens.

The governor’s presence in Osogbo will serve as a morale booster  in a bid to avoid relegation at the end of the season.
