Napoli have received a major boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League, UCL quarterfinal first leg clash with fellow rivals, AC Milan with the news of their talisman striker, Victor Osimhen resuming training.
The Super Eagles’ forward has commenced individual workout following his absence from club action due to muscle injury he suffered on international duties.
He missed the Partenopei’s last two Serie A games against Milan and Lecce but has since resumed back to training, though alone but Napoli will hope to have him back on time for the Milan game.
Manager Luciano Spalletti admitted that the team is struggling to cope without Osimhen and expect his talisman to be back for the concluding part of Napoli’s season.
“We need to see how he reacts to strong physical activities, so far he’s done some basic jogging.
“It’s difficult without him (Osimhen), because he has this way of running into space, this physicality, he can draw everyone to him and create the space for his team-mates.
