Emmanuel Amuneke: Zambian giants Zanaco part ways with Nigerian football legend

Zambian Premier League giants, AS Zanaco has announced their end of relationship with former Nigeria international, Emmanuel Amuneke following spells of bad results in the current domestic season.
Amuneke joined Zanaco midway through last season’s campaign as technical consultant along with another Nigerian, Emeka Amadi as his lieutenant.
Zanaco has been performing poorly in recent times and recently suffered a heavy defeat at home to their bitter rivals, NASPA Stars as head coach of the club, Kelvin Kaindu was not spared in the technical clear out at the club.
In a statement released by the management of the club on Monday, they thanked Amuneke for the dedication through the time and wished him best in his future endeavors as they intend to bring more winning mood back to the team.
Meanwhile, Wedson Nyireda who was one time coach of Zambia national team has been appointed as Head Coach on an interim capacity till the end of the season.
Zanaco are 13th on the Zambian Premier League log with 34 points from 28 games, just three points above the drop zone.
