U20 FIFA World Cup: Nigeria secure international friendly with Columbia

The Nigeria U20 men’s team will play their Columbia counterpart in a friendly encounter on the 16th of May, 2023.
The game will serve as a test game for the Flying Eagles as they steer up their preparations for the U20 FIFA World Cup in Argentina.
Columbia qualified for the U20 FIFA World Cup from the South American zone as they boast of a strong, and talented side that would be a threat to other teams in the tournament.
The Columbians have proven not to be a push over in the U20 category as they have won the the South American U20 Cup three times and came third at the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2003.
The Flying Eagles are also a topnotch side, winning the U20 Africa Cup of Nations for a record seven times and came second twice at the FIFA U20 World Cup in 1989 and 2005.
Nigeria will lock horns will Dominican Republic, Italy and Brazil in Group D this year, beginning from May 20.
