Nigeria striker, Asisat Oshoala has reminiscent her previous goal against South Korea scored at the last FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
The Super Falcons will be making her tenth appearance at the most popular and lucrative women football tournament in the world in Australia and New Zealand.
And Oshoala will be making her third appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, she has managed to find the back of the net twice, first in 2015 World Cup and second at the 2019 World Cup.
Recalling the game against Korea, the Barcelona star admitted that it was a difficult encounter and the 2-0 win boosted the confidence of the players after losing the opener against Norway.
“I think this is one more game that was really important to us as a team,” Oshoala told FIFA.com.
“We needed this for us to have the confidence of going and waiting for the results of all games to know if we qualify for the next round or not.
“We all know 1-0 in a game is like nothing is sure, so it was more like sealing the victory. The second goal was more like sealing the victory. I was just happy we have like a security goal.”
