Edo FA polls: Acting chairman tasks electoral committee on credible election

The acting chairman of Edo State Football Association (ESFA), Dr Moses Aghedo have tasked the recently inaugurated electoral committee members to organize a credible election.
The event was held at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium at the boardroom of the Edo State Sports Commission (ESSC) had in attendance the board members of Edo State FA and the committee members.
Dr Aghedo told the electoral committee members to count their selves lucky to be selected based on their trustworthiness as he charged them to conduct an election devoid of controversies.
“Count yourselves lucky to be selected among the few trusted and worthy men around,” he started.
“We have given you a big responsibility to help Edo State Football Association conduct credible and peaceful elections.”
Chief Medical Director of University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Professor Darlington Obaseki was appointed as the chairman of the electoral committee, while retired FIFA referee, SP Osaretin Omorusi is the vice chairman and Patrick Owolabi, Salihu Ibrahim, Mrs Anne kadiri, and Mr Alohan Osakpomwan are the members of the committee. Edo FA secretary, Tony Uwens will serve as the scribe of the electoral committee.
While the Appeals Committee will be chaired by ex international, Monday Eguavoen, vice chairman, Emmanuel Obasuyi, secretary, Tony Uwens and other members of the committee are, SP Saturday Okao ( Rtd), and Prince Afejuku.
