Trabzonspor end Emmanuel Dennis chase, shifts focus to Paul Onuachu

Turkish Super Lig giant, Trabzonspor have ended their pursuit of Nottingham Forest striker, Emmanuel Dennis as they opened negotiation to sign another Nigerian striker, Paul Onuachu.

Dennis has been under intense pressure to leave City Ground after finding game times hard to come by.

The Super Eagles’ forward has not feature for Nottingham this season and has been searching for a way out before the transfer window closed.

His move to the Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al-Tai was already in the advanced stage before the deal fell through on the deadline day of the transfer window.

He was touted to be on the verge of joining the Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor but the move also failed to materialise. The Turkish side decided to sign another Nigeria forward Paul Onuachu in his place on Friday.

Onuachu joined Southampton during the winter transfer window and the move failed to produce a fruitful result for him as the club went on relegation.

According to the report from Turkey, Onuachu has agreed to personal terms with Trabzonspor, and the deal is expected to be announced anytime soon.
