NPFL: Ojo Olorunleke hails Enyimba on victory over Niger Tornadoes

Captain of Enyimba FC, Olorunleke Ojo has commended his team mates for their spirited performance in their goaless draw against Niger Tornadoes on Wednesday in Kaduna.

While Tornadoes were hoping to turn their good performance to result following their gallant defeat against Sporting Lagos, Enyimba needed to reignite themselves into serious football mood after their disappointing exit from African Football League.

Tornadoes dominated most parts of the match and could have won the match with number of good chances created but Ojo stood firm between the sticks to deny them.

The former Akwa United shot stopper said the win was a needed result for the People’s Elephants to get back into reckoning and believed the reigning champions can still make huge impact in the current campaign.

“Its a good feeling to get that point, we really put in much enough and we are grateful for the result, kudos to everyone for putting in a good effort for it,” Ojo told nigeriafootball.ng.

“Our target before match was actually the three points but we’ll take this as it will go a long way to refresh our mood going for subsequent games.

“It proved that we can still do it and be better despite the challenges we’ve being through, so I’m happy and I urge us to continue that way.”

Enyimba’s next match is in Aba against Kwara United on Sunday.
