Abdullahi Adamu attributes Wikki Tourists win over Dakkada to hard work

By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists, Abdullahi Adamu has credited hard work for his team’s 3-1 comfortable win over Dakkada in Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League clash in Bauchi.
The Bauchi based outfit required a brace from Amah Chibundu in either half and Ibrahim Salisu’s effort to silence their visitors from Uyo at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium.
Besides the win, Wikki proved their best ruthless form, hitting the net three times for the first time this season and elated tactician admits the fine display was a result of efforts to improve on their profligacies.
“I feel happy with the result and how we played, looking at how we started the second round with not too good result, we are going to continue to fight and be better till the end,” Adamu told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“Initially what we were looking to was winning mentality, now the boys have it as you can see an improvement from the previous matches, what we need to do now is to build on it.
“After the Tornadoes’ match, we were able to psyche the boys up and we did more on goal scoring tactics during our recovery sessions, I personally motivate the boys financially and I hope they continue to give me what I want.”
Wikki Tourists next match will be another encounter at home against Bayelsa United on Sunday.
