Abia Angels unveil new camp ahead of 2025/26 NWFL season

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side Abia Angels FC have unveiled their new ultra-modern team camp.

The new camp marks a significant step in their preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

The new facility is set to provide improved comfort and a more professional environment for the players and technical crew.

The team is expected to move into the camp as preseason activities intensify ahead of the new campaign.

This development follows a growing trend among NWFL clubs investing in infrastructure, with reigning champions Bayelsa Queens recently unveiling their newly renovated camp in preparation for the upcoming WAFU-B Champions League qualifiers.

Abia Angels narrowly missed out on a playoff spot at the conclusion of the 2024/25 NWFL Premiership season, and the club is optimistic that this investment will play a key role in boosting performance and achieving improved results in the new season.

Last season, the men’s team qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup with a third place finish at the end of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
