Abia Warriors appoints new Sporting Director and assistant coach

Chairman of Abia Warriors FC, John Sam Obuh has appointed former Nigeria international, Emeka Ifejiagwa as the new sporing director of the club.
Obuh, who was appointed as the new helm’s man for the Umuahia based Nigeria Premier Football League side last week has also appointed Bethel Orji as assistant coach of the club.
On Wednesday, the new chairman announced the appointments during the club’s inaugural meeting with staff and members, noting that the appointments should take immediate effect as the club get set for the new NPFL season.
Ifejiagwa who was once a mainstay in Super Eagles’ defense has played for notable clubs in Nigeria and Europe including Udoji United, Iwuayanwu Nationals, Insurance FC, Brighton and Hove Albion in the United Kingdom and Osasuna FC in Spain.
On the other hand, Coach Orji had stints as a coach with Abia Warriors, Enyimba Feeders and Abia Comets.
Mr. Obuh urged them to put in their best and make sure that Abia Warriors make Abians and Nigerians proud.
