Adebayo Adeleye: Nigeria goalkeeper extends contract with Israeli club until 2026

Nigerian goalkeeper, Adebayo Adeleye has signed a new three-year contract at Hapoel Jerusalem to stay until
Leicester City to stay until 2024, the Isreali Premier League club has confirmed.
Adeleye who joined Hapoel Jerusalem from rival city club, Jerusalem Katamon for a record transfer and the Super Eagles goalkeeper has been having a decent season with incredible displays earning his club’s points.
Following his contract extension, the shotstopper, who will turn 23 on May 17 expressed delight over the new contract while appreciating the confidence reposed in him by the club authorities.
“I’m very happy that an agreement was reached for me to sign this extension to my contract,” Adeleye told Punch.
“I’m also glad that the club wants me to be part of the project long-term, and am very happy.
“We are working hard for success and I will do my best to bring more smiles to the faces of the fans who have made me feel so welcome since I arrived. I feel very settled here and have enjoyed my time on the pitch here.”
Adeleye kept 10 clean sheets in 29 matches played for Hapoel Jerusalem this season. Hapoel Jerusalem are fourth on the Israeli Premier League with 45 points in 33 games.
