Ademola Lookman elated to secure maiden Champions League win with Atalanta

Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman is thrilled with Atalanta’s 3-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in Germany, a win that also earned him the Player of the Match award.
Lookman scored one goal and provided an assist in the commanding win, but credited his teammates for their contributions.
“It’s always nice to receive these awards, but I wouldn’t have been able to do that without the team,” Lookman told Sky Sports. “The team had a good performance today.”
Lookman expressed his satisfaction with the win, calling it a crucial step forward for the team.
“I’m very happy with the victory. I think tonight’s victory was very important for us to make another step, stronger in Europe,” he said. He also stressed the importance of building on the positive momentum from the previous match against Arsenal.
Looking ahead, the Super Eagles winger is now focused on Atalanta’s upcoming Serie A clash against Genoa on Saturday.
“Every performance, we try to build on. Today was a good performance, so we will build on that and look forward to the next game,” Lookman said.
“Every game is important, and we’re looking forward to each game because it’s great to play a lot of games.”
