Afcon 2023: “No gree for anybody” – Governor Sanwo-Olu tells Super Eagles

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has charged the Nigeria national team not to go easy with their opponents ahead otheir campaign for four in the impactful tenure
The Super Eagles are drawn in Group A against host nations Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau.
Although Nigeria is one of the favorites to win the tournament, however, it is not expected to be a walk in the garden.
On Tuesday night, hours before the three-time champions depart for Cote d’Ivoire, they were hosted in a glamorous dinner event at the Lagos State Government house.
The governor joined the popular trend of Nigerian netizens of ‘No gree for anybody in 2024’ and said that the Super Eagles should go and conquer Africa.
“As we dey talk am, we no dey gree for anyone this year. Super Eagles must not gree for any team in Côte d’Ivoire,” he said during his speech.
