Afcon 2023: Oliseh tasks Bassey, Iwobi to replicate Fulham display with Nigeria

Nigeria international duo of Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey starred for Fulham in their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Arsenal at Craven Cottage in their final game of 2023.

Following their great performance, Sunday Oliseh was quite impressed as he took to his official X handle to shower them with praise ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) kickoff.

Jose Peseiro has already released his final 25-man squad for the AFCON tournament and the duo will be resuming for national team duties next.

The former Nigerian international hailed the duo for putting up an impressive performance against Arsenal in the English Premier League and urged them to bring the same mentality to the national camp and help the Super Eagles to glory.
