Afeez Aremu Joins Ghanaian Club Inter Allies

Nigeria midfielder, Afeez Aremu, has completed a move to Ghana Premier League club Inter Allies FC, departing from Nigeria’s amateur side, Westerlo Football Academy. Aremu, who spent the previous season on loan with Nigeria Professional Football League club Akwa United, has become Inter Allies’ third signing in preparation for the upcoming season. The defensive midfielder showcased his skills during the recent training sessions, securing a place in the squad.

President of Inter Allies, Rabeh El-ter, expressed his optimism about the new addition, stating, “This is a very positive addition to our team because he will offer a lot to us. He is a young player with a huge capacity to learn and develop, with lots of quality.”

Aremu conveyed his excitement about joining the team, expressing gratitude to all parties involved in the successful deal. “It is a great move for me to come here to develop my career,” he remarked. “I am very excited to be signing for a good club such as Inter Allies. I am looking forward to working with the new coach and the players. I hope to do my best and exhibit my quality to help the team.”

Aremu played a pivotal role in Akwa United’s victory in the Nigeria Federation Cup last season and was also a key member of the Nigeria home-based Super Eagles team that secured second place at the WAFU Nations Cup in Ghana earlier this year. His move to Inter Allies renders him ineligible for Nigeria’s participation in next year’s African Nations Championship, which is exclusively for players in their domestic leagues.
