Africa Football League: Enyimba skipper plays down lack of NPFL matches impact
By Saheed Afolabi
Captain of Enyimba International, Ojo Olorunleke has played down the effectiveness of lack of competitive matches to affect their chances at the inaugural Africa Football League.
The nine-time Nigerian champions are one of the teams that will fight for glory at the inaugural Africa Football League and the People’s Elephant skipper assures his side will perform better at the coveted championship.
“The team is in a very good physical condition and we are working tirelessly ahead of the competition,” Ojo told BSN Sports.
“Our lack of competitive matches will not affect our performance during the competition.”
Enyimba will trade tackles with Wydad Casablanca in the quarter-final of the Africa Football League with the first leg coming up on October 20 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
The second leg will come up at a later fixed date.
