Ahmed Musa Nears Hull City Loan Deal

Leicester City and Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, is on the cusp of securing a one-year loan transfer to English Championship club, Hull City. The 24-year-old has faced challenges in making a substantial impact since his notable £16 million move to Leicester last summer, amassing just five goals in 33 appearances.

Musa has yet to make an appearance for Leicester in the current English Premier League season. Recent reports from the Leicester Mercury indicate that Hull City has engaged in discussions with Leicester City this week and is highly optimistic about concluding the deal before the impending transfer deadline on Thursday.

Should the negotiations reach a successful conclusion, Ahmed Musa will find himself reunited with Hull City’s head coach, Leonid Slutsky, with whom he shared a professional relationship during their four-year tenure at CSKA Moscow. Furthermore, Musa will have the opportunity to play alongside Ola Aina, who joined Hull City on loan from Chelsea.

Slutsky had previously intimated that a loan move for Musa was within the realm of possibility, stating, “He is not our player but, of course, every coach is better working with players he knows, and I worked with Musa for four years. I know him, and he knows me.”

The Super Eagles’ fans can anticipate Musa’s return to action as Nigeria hosts Cameroon in Friday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
