By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

The Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation has thrown its weight behind the 2025 Soccer Queens Awards with a cash donation to support the initiative.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward, through her foundation, made the contribution as part of efforts to celebrate excellence in women’s football. The event is scheduled to take place in Benin City on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

In a similar gesture, Ajibade’s Super Falcons and PSG teammate, Gift Monday, also made a cash donation to support the awards.

Now in its third edition, the Soccer Queens Awards aim to recognize and reward outstanding players and coaches in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL). The honours cover all three tiers of the league — Premiership, Championship, and Nationwide.

The organisers of the awards asserted that more financial supports are expected ahead of the program on Saturday.

Outstanding goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, attackers, and coaches will be honored at the awards.
