Alex Iwobi drops hilarious video ahead of 2023 Africa Cup of Nations

Nigeria midfielder, Alex Iwobi has dropped a hilarious video as he prepares to join up with the Super Eagles for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
The West Africa side will attempt to clinch their fourth title in Cote d’Ivoire after a 14-year wait to reclaim the last trophy won in 2013.
Iwobi who is expected to join the team on January 2, 2024, shared a video of himself preparing to eat fufu.
Ahead of his return to national team duties, Iwobi posted a video of himself on Instagram, preparing to eat a plate of fufu and egusi soup, with the caption – “AFCON I dey come”.
Fufu has gained popularity in recent months following Karim Adeyemi’s joke that the Nigerian delicacy gives him speed.
Iwobi has never been shy to tap into his Nigerian origin, as he has made some old posts about Fufu.
The former Arsenal player will be brimming with confidence after his English Premier League side, Fulham edged Arsenal 2-1 in the last league in 2023.
The 27-year-old star will be saddled with the responsibility of putting up creative spark needed by the three-time African champions in Cote d’Ivoire.
Jose Peseiro side will face Equatorial Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinea Bissau in Group A at the Al-Assane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan.
