By Saheed Afolabi
Fulham midfielder, Alex Iwobi has revealed his favorite position to play on the pitch.
The Nigeria playmaker joined Fulham from Everton during the summer transfer window and he has integrated himself into the first team settings.
Iwobi credited Fulham manager, Marco Silva for his move to the Craven Cottage and lauded Silver for having absolute trust and believe in him to deliver.
The Super Eagles said the Cottagers needs to climb up the table by getting positive results every week. He disclosed that, he enjoys playing through the middle by dictating the pace of the game.
“He’s the one that actually got me to Everton. I did speak with him, and he has a lot of faith in me. For a player to have that trust and confidence from the manager allows you to go and express yourself and play with freedom. I just need to repay the faith,” Iwobi was quoted by Standard.
“I have to give credit to Fulham. They were very welcoming with me and I’m enjoying my time here. We just need to climb up the table and get results like we did today.
“I do enjoy playing in the middle. I feel like I get the ball a lot more. I like to influence the game as much as I can for the team.
“It was an alright performance [from myself]. I feel I could have done a bit better, but the main thing is that we were able to get a point at a difficult stadium.”
After ten matches, Fulham have 12 points and will trade tackles with Manchester United in their next game on November 4.
The Cottagers have secured two draws, two losses and one win in their last five matches.
