Alex Iwobi On Target Again As Fulham Edge Spurs At Craven Cottage

Alex Iwobi continued his fine scoring run as Fulham F.C. secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur F.C. in a Premier League clash at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Iwobi, who found the net in last weekend’s 3-1 away win at Sunderland, has now scored in back-to-back Premier League matches. The Nigerian midfielder doubled Fulham’s advantage in the 34th minute after Harry Wilson had opened the scoring just seven minutes into the contest.

Wilson’s early strike set the tone for the hosts, who looked sharp and purposeful from kickoff. Iwobi’s goal — his latest contribution in an increasingly influential campaign — put Fulham firmly in control before the break.

Richarlison pulled one back for Spurs in the second half, but the visitors were unable to find an equaliser as Fulham held on to claim all three points.

The victory lifts Fulham to ninth place on 40 points in the league table, strengthening their push for a top-half finish.

Compatriots Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze also featured for Fulham. Bassey played the full 90 minutes, while Chukwueze was introduced in the 72nd minute. Iwobi was substituted in stoppage time after an impressive display.

Elsewhere, at Old Trafford, Chrisantus Uche was an unused substitute as 10-man Crystal Palace F.C. fell 2-1 to Manchester United F.C..

Meanwhile, Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi featured for Nottingham Forest F.C. in their 2-1 away defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion F.C..
