Alex Iwobi opens goal account on first start for Fulham in Norwich City win

Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi scored his first goal in Fulham’s colour when they defeated Norwich City 2-1 in the Third Round of Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles star was also featuring in his first full start for the Cottagers after a few cameo appearances since his arrival from Everton earlier this month.
Fulham deservedly took a 12 minute lead with a superb finish from Carlos Vinicius to give fans at Craven Cottage a hint of a great evening.
The hosts could have increase the lead soon after with Iwobi bossing the midfield with deft passes and brilliant moves that kept Norwich under pressure but his front line failed to make them count.
The former Arsenal player had 64 touches and 41 passes in the game coupled with two tackles and won four of his six duels.
Despite dominating the play, Fulham had to wait till the 72nd minute before they got their second, and it was through a brilliant strike from Iwobi finishing up a through pass from Harry Wilson fr edge of the box.
However, Borja Sainz pulled one back for Norwich City in the 75th minute to make it 2-1. It eventually ended that way at Craven Cottage.
