‘Already thinking about Inter Milan’ – Napoli’s Victor Osimhen relishing top table clash

Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen is ready for a crucial battle against Inter Milan as the Italian Serie A returns from break.
The Luciano Spallettis side will continue preparations for the game with a test match against Lille on Wednesday before action will resume in the Italian top flight on January 4.
Osimhen currently leads the Serie A scoring charts with nine goals this season, and his superb form helped Napoli move eight points clear at the summit before the World Cup break.
“We can’t wait to play against Inter Milan,” Osimhen was quoted by Napoli Magazine.
“The championship is very long and we know that we must never give up to keep first place. Inter Milan is a great team, we want to win but it won’t be easy,” he concluded.
Napoli have not won the Scudetto since Diego Maradona inspired them to glory in the 1989-90 campaign, and Osimhen is determined to end that drought before moving on.
The Naples-based team are having a successful season with unbeaten run and eight points clear of defending champions AC Milan in second place after 15 games.
The Nigerian player left French team LOSC Lille in the summer of 2020 to join Napoli and has served as the Partenopei’s talisman ever since.
