Anambra Church Attack Elicits Condolences and Promises of Justice

Renowned Super Eagles and Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder, John Ogu, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic Ozubulu church shootings that claimed numerous lives in a despicable act of violence on Sunday. St. Philips Catholic Church in Ozubulu, situated within the Ekusigo local government area of Anambra State, fell victim to a heinous attack during their Sunday morning worship service, resulting in the tragic loss of at least 20 innocent lives, victims of ruthless assailants.
In a somber tweet, John Ogu conveyed his condolences and empathetic thoughts, stating, “My prayers and thoughts are with the people of Ozubulu in Anambra State.”
The assailants responsible for this merciless act, as well as their motives, remain under investigation, with law enforcement agencies actively engaged in determining the truth behind this shocking event.
The Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has called for calm and visited the scene of the attack in a poignant display of solidarity with the parishioners who have been traumatized by this act of violence.
