Andrew Aikhoumogbe tasks Jose Peseiro to fix goalkeeping issues before 2023 Afcon

Former Nigeria international, Andrew Aikhoumogbe has Jose Peseiro to find a lasting solution to the problems or errors in the goalkeeping department of the national team.
Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho has received backlash over the cheap goals he conceded against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
In the wake of the horrible displays, Aikhoumogbe is worried over the lack of quality goalkeepers, and has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Portuguese tactician to fix the keeping problem before the Afcon.
“I am really worried that with few months to the commencement of the 2023 AFCON, the goalkeeping department of the Super Eagles is still an issue,” Aikhoumogbe told Complete Sports.
“Yes, goalkeepers are human beings but there are certain mistakes that gives a coach sleepless night. No doubt, Uzoho is a very good goalkeeper but at still stage, errors of these nature shouldn’t be allowed.
“They must fix this issue as quickly as possible if the Super Eagles want to truly compete for the AFCON trophy.”
Nigeria won the AFCON last in 2013 under the tutelage of the late legendary Stephen Keshi. The Super Eagles suffered a disappointing elimination in the last AFCON in Cameroon as they lost to Tunisia with a lone goal.
