Andrew Ikefe: Nigerian defender signs new contract with Lebanon club Al Sahel

Nigerian defender Andrew Ikefe has been rewarded with a new one-year contract extension following his remarkable first season with Al Sahel FC in the Lebanon Premier League.
Ikefe joined Al Sahel in October, 2022 and was instrumental to the club’s strong finish in the regular season which saw them qualified for the promotion playoffs.
The former Plateau United scored two goals and provided two in the just concluded season and his outstanding performance has earned him a new one year contract with improve incentives.
Reacting to the new deal, Ikefe admits it was a great honour to have more opportunities to continue playing for the Blue Army, while thanking the club for the confidence they have in him, while pledging to give more next season.
“Its a great feeling to sign new deal with this wonderful club, I want to thank the management and the technical crew for the honor,” Ikefe told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“My team mates, fans and everyone in this city made this place lovable for me and I want to continue to dedicate more of me to the club and the badge.
“We did excellent job last season but I believe we deserved more than what we achieved, I’m confident next season will be more successful for us as we will be more stronger as a team.”
Ikefe was named in the Lebanon team of the season and was also selected among the best Players of Sahel FC in the out gone season.
