Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale reveals which Premier League manager does not want to play against him

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has revealed which Premier League manager hates playing against him.

Ramsdale has put on a number of fine goalkeeping displays during his debut year in north London, two of which have come against Leicester City.

Ramsdale’s Arsenal beat the Foxes 2-0 in two separate Premier League matches this term, with the shot-stopper in top form for both ties.

So, it is not too surprising to see Ramsdale reveal recently that Brendan Rodgers told the keeper he does not want to play against him anymore:

Speaking about the Northern Irishman on the Peter Crouch podcast, he said: “He (Rodgers) spoke to me after and said I don’t want to play against you again, sort of thing.”

Ramsdale & Arsenal

Ramsdale joined Arsenal over the summer and was expected to play back-up to Bernd Leno.

However, after an impressive start to life at the Emirates, the Englishman has usurped the German on the back of some superb showings.

Ramsdale is now firmly Arsenal’s number one and has kept an impressive 15 clean sheets in 35 outings.

And, along with Ben White, Gabriel, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney, Ramsdale makes up what is a fairly young but very promising Arsenal defence that should only improve with each year that passes.

However, Kieran Tierney has been out of action for several weeks now, leaving the inexperienced and somewhat unreliable Nuno Tavares to fill in for the Scotsman. And with a tough test vs Leeds to come this week, Arsenal will be hoping Ramsdale is in similar form to that of his displays vs Leicester.
