Ashleigh Plumptre reacts after scoring first Leicester City goal at King Power Stadium

Nigeria defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has praised her Leicester City teammates after a resounding 4-0 win over Liverpool in the English Women’s Super League encounter on Saturday.
Leicester City were in danger of relegation before the latest win which pushed the team close to safety on Saturday.
Plumptre headed in the third goal in the 48th minute which was her first goal at her club’s home ground, King Power Stadium and the Super Falcons center-back took to Twitter to appreciate her teammates and fans after the victory.
“Proud of this group for the performance, clean sheet, and more importantly, the result yesterday! Nice to get my first goal at King Power too. To the fans… Thank you – you were incredible. We move,” she tweeted.
Josie Green and Carrie Jones had given the Foxes a 2-0 lead before Plumptre’s header increased the lead to three.
Missy Goodwin completed the rout in the 96th minute off Courtney Nevin’s assist. The win capped up consecutive victories over relegation battlers Reading and Liverpool as the team moved above the basement position of the table.
Leicester City occupy the tenth position in the 12-team English Women’s Super League (WSL) with 13 points alongside Brighton with two points above the relegation zone which is occupied by Reading.
