Asisat Oshoala scores in eight consecutive games for Barcelona

Nigeria forward, Asisat Oshoala continued her remarkable goalscoring form as she was on target in Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Osinachi Ohale’s Deportivo Alaves on Saturday.
Her latest effort saw the former Rivers Angels and FC Robo Queens product scored in her eight consecutive league game for the Catalan side.
She scored the first goal of the encounter in the 33rd minute by tapping in Fridolina Rolfo’s cross from the left wing.
From a similar scenario in the 38th minute, Rolfo’s cross towards Oshoala’s path in the box was unfortunately tapped into the net by Oshoala’s compatriot, Ohale to double Jonatan Giraldez’s side lead.
Aitana Bonmati made it 3-0 in the 64th minute and Caudia Pina completed the scoring for the Spanish Champions six minutes before full-time.
Oshoala saw 77 minutes of action before she was replaced by Bruna Vilamala.
The goal took her tally to 18 with two assists from 19 matches and second position in the top goal scorer chart behind Levante’s Redondo Ferrer with 18 goals and five assists.
Ohale lasted the duration of the game for Alaves as the bottom-placed side fell to its fifth straight defeat of the campaign.
Barcelona tops the log with a maximum of 57 points after 19 games, scoring 84 goals and conceding four.
The champions will host Villareal on March 5 after the international break while Alaves visits Madrid CFF on March 4.
